NT Lakis staff will be facilitating the Center for Workplace Compliance’s (CWC) intensive EEO/AA compliance immersion program in Washington DC. This “boot camp” style course is designed for HR generalists, compliance practitioners, and in-house counsel who need to know the fundamentals of nondiscrimination and affirmative action compliance, from basic equal employment opportunity, to charge investigation and response, to developing and defending affirmative action programs. CWC courses have met the HR Certification Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit. CWC also is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits for SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM.

2019 POLICY CONFERENCE

The Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC) – the nation’s largest employer association focused on workplace compliance – will hold its annual, members-only policy conference in Washington, DC on March 6–8, 2019. Organized and facilitated by NT Lakis, the conference will feature briefings from senior-level enforcement officials, policymakers, and industry experts on the major focus areas of workplace regulators including, including fair employment, wage and hour, contract compliance, diversity, immigration, labor relations, and state standards. TALENT ACQUISITION COMPLIANCE SUMMIT

The Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), a national employer association focused on workplace compliance and staffed by NT Lakis, will host its annual Talent Acquisition Compliance (TAC) Summit in Charlotte, NC on May 9-10, 2019. ANALYZING COMPENSATION FOR EQUITY AND RISK

NT Lakis attorneys and non-attorney professionals will be facilitating the Center for Workplace Compliance’s (CWC) one-and-a-half-day course on conducting self-critical compensation analyses to identify, assess, and mitigate the risks of potential pay discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the federal Equal Pay Act, and the rules and regulations enforced by the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). The program agenda includes a review of the legal and statistical principles involved in pay discrimination cases as well as illustrations, examples, and exercises to help attendees learn how to spot and address potential pay discrimination indicators.
