José Galvan provides counsel and advice to employers on a range of employment matters, including in the areas of Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and wage and hour compliance. He has experience representing clients before administrative agencies, in arbitration, and in state and federal court.
José provides a broad array of workplace legal and compliance-related services to NT Lakis clients, including:

  • Advising employers on defending charges of discrimination before the EEOC and state and local fair employment practices agencies (FEPA)
  • Managing compliance with worker classification, minimum wage, and overtime requirements
  • Researching and drafting memoranda analyzing significant employment-related developments under federal, state, and local laws
  • Developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor and employment law requirements

In addition to his law firm role, José also serves as Counsel to the Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), where he helps CWC members understand their federal and state employment-related compliance requirements. José is also a Consultant with the firm’s affiliated consulting group, Employment Advisory Services, Inc.
