Based on 47 years of experience in closely monitoring and reporting on the affirmative action requirements enforced by the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), the Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), our affiliated nonprofit membership association, is pleased to present guidance on best practices that can be employed to ensure continuing compliance once the Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) are developed. For some contractors, developing and implementing written AAPs is nothing more than a “check-the-box” exercise, and the completed AAP reports are filed away and forgotten unless OFCCP calls. However, CWC believes that a contractor can get value out of its AAPs and ensure continuing compliance with OFCCP requirements while also advancing its corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. CWC guidance details how.
