The four federal agencies with statutory authority over federal whistleblower protection/bounty hunter laws reported that activity in fiscal year 2022 increased from the previous year. The four agencies releasing statistics were the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the Department of Labor‘s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Department of Justice (DOJ). Two of the agencies—the SEC and the CFTC—reported receiving a record number of tips.
