The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has released a new and improved Technical Assistance Guide (TAG) for federal supply-and-service contractors. Consistent with the agency’s ongoing compliance assistance efforts, the document presents a comprehensive overview of compliance requirements applicable to federal supply-and-service contractors and is aimed at helping contractors understand and comply with the agency’s requirements. The new TAG supersedes the prior outdated guidance that was removed from OFCCP’s website several years ago.
This TAG is the third technical assistance guide issued by OFCCP during the Trump Administration, and includes refreshed and reorganized content on topics including Executive Order 11246 requirements, adverse impact determinations, compliance reviews, and more. Given the basic level of the information presented, the document is likely to be most useful for those companies that are new to OFCCP compliance.
