Last week we advised you that the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) recently updated two of its online compliance tools designed to assist federal contractors with their nondiscrimination and affirmative action obligations. We covered the first of these two updated resources – the National Pre-Award Registry – in an accompanying memo.
This week we take a look at the other updated compliance assistance tool, namely the “VEVRAA Hiring Benchmark Database,” which many federal contractors use to develop their annual hiring benchmark for protected veterans as required by Section 4212 of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA).
As was the case with the recently updated Pre-Award Registry, the VEVRAA Hiring Benchmark Database has been around for years, but has now been enhanced to make it more user-friendly for federal contractors and OFCCP staff to utilize and access the database’s information.
