The Department of Labor (DOL) announced recently that it intends to move ahead with another round of surveys in an effort to capture updated data regarding employer and employee experiences under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
According to an October 28, 2016, Federal Register notice, the so-called “Wave 4” surveys will consist of: (1) an employee survey regarding the need for, and experiences using FMLA leave; and (2) an employer survey regarding employees’ use of leave and employer experiences managing FMLA leave.
As was the case with its earlier “Wave 2” surveys in 2000 and “Wave 3” surveys in 2012, DOL is soliciting public comments on what to include in the Wave 4 surveys.
