NT Lakis attorneys and non-attorney professionals are pleased to present a new and streamlined sample “AAP narrative” template for women and minorities.

Our sample AAP narrative template has been designed so that most of the variable information, including the company’s “action-oriented programs,” has been relegated to the cover page or to attached appendices.  Using the template as a starting point, it should be relatively quick and easy to generate a compliant narrative document for either a single establishment or multiple establishments through a simple mail merge.

Keep in mind that because each company’s particular practices can vary, it is important to customize the AAP narrative to fit those practices.  To that end, our accompanying guide presents a section-by-section discussion of what is included in our AAP narrative template, the why, and what elements should be customized.

Please note also that the core Executive Order 11246 affirmative action obligations for women and minorities have not changed in recent years, with one exception.  OFCCP implementing regulations and guidance issued pursuant to President Obama’s 2015 Executive Order 13672 now bar federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.  Our AAP narrative template incorporates this change.
