Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta has announced the creation of a new sub-office, located within the Labor Department’s (DOL’s) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy, entitled the “Office of Compliance Initiatives (OCI).”
According to an August 28, 2018, press release accompanying the launch, the new OCI will promote innovation and strengthen DOL’s compliance assistance outreach to covered employers and workers through cross-agency coordination with the myriad enforcement and policy organizations located within the agency.
In addition, DOL has posted two new websites – Employer.gov and Worker.gov – designed to achieve the same objectives.
