The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has signed off on minor changes to the various letters used by the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) for scheduling federal contractors for compliance evaluations under the laws OFCCP enforces, including the letters needed to conduct “focused reviews” of federal contractors’ affirmative action programs for individuals with disabilities and protected veterans. As discussed in more detail below, the final versions of the approved letters are a big improvement over the letters that the agency had initially proposed to use, and should result in very little change to routine OFCCP compliance evaluations.

Under the terms of OMB’s clearance, the revised documents will be valid for three years, or through April 30, 2023. OFCCP has the go-ahead to begin using the revised documents immediately, although as of this writing the agency has not announced when that will occur.
