The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved a request by the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) to make minor changes to the agency’s prescriptive Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability form, also known as “Form CC-305.” Federal contractors will have until August 4, 2020, to integrate the revised CC-305 into their processes and systems. Under the terms of OMB’s clearance, the revised CC-305 will be valid for three years, or through May 31, 2023.
Despite repeated recommendations to OFCCP to allow contractors more flexibility in how they solicit voluntary disability self-ID information from applicants and employees, the final version of the CC-305 approved by OMB and mandated for use by contractors contains only minor, albeit helpful, changes, discussed in more detail below.
