Over the six years that have elapsed since we compiled a comprehensive catalog of federal whistleblower retaliation protection laws, Congress has enacted three more such laws: the Taxpayer First Act (TFA), the Criminal Antitrust Anti-Retaliation Act (CAARA), and the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), all enforced by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and bringing the total number of whistleblower retaliation protection laws that OSHA enforces to 25.
Accordingly, we are pleased to issue an updated version that now incorporates these three new laws. Also attached is a reference chart listing the 25 whistleblower laws that OSHA enforces along with statutory and regulatory citations, complaint-filing deadlines, and remedies.
