Jenny Yang, Director of the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), recently announced that Michele Hodge, a long-time OFCCP official, has been appointed as the new “career” Deputy Director at OFCCP, effective immediately. Ms. Hodge, who served in the dual role of Acting career Deputy Director from April to June along with her duties as OFCCP’s Regional Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region, has now assumed the career Deputy’s position on a full-time basis. She will report directly to Director Yang and Deputy Director for Policy Maya Raghu, the second-highest position in the agency, whose recent appointment we reported on earlier.
As OFCCP’s career Deputy Director, Ms. Hodge will work closely with Director Yang and Deputy Director for Policy Raghu in helping to shape and carry out OFCCP’s key policy proposals into potential regulatory and enforcement initiatives, while also providing critical management, decision-making, and administrative oversight for the agency’s six regional offices.
