Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta has named Craig E. Leen as the new permanent Director of the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Mr. Leen has been serving as the Acting OFCCP Director for the last five months following the resignation of former OFCCP Director Ondray Harris.
Mr. Leen joined OFCCP as a senior advisor in the fall of 2017, and was named the agency’s Acting Director last July. Prior to joining OFCCP, he served as the City Attorney and chief legal officer for the City of Coral Gables, Florida. While serving as City Attorney, Mr. Leen also served as an adjunct professor at two law schools, the University of Miami School of Law and the Florida International University (FIU) College of Law.
Prior to that, Mr. Leen worked in the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office. He also has worked for several large national law firms. Early in his career, he clerked for Judge Robert E. Keeton of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Mr. Leen has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from Columbia Law School.
