The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced last week that it has voted to fund an independent analysis of the pay and hours-worked data submitted to the agency on Component 2 of the EEO-1 Report for calendar years 2017 and 2018.
The analysis is to be conducted by a panel of experts under the auspices of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) and will examine the utility of the data collected and whether there are analytically appropriate uses for the data. The EEOC states that the results of the analysis will inform the agency’s approach to future pay data collections.
