NT Lakis has created a “Talking Points” guide designed to educate managers and supervisors on the new “pay transparency” rule issued by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), and to help them answer questions they may receive about the new requirements.

OFCCP’s new pay transparency rule is scheduled to go into effect with the first federal contract or subcontract entered into or modified on or after January 11, 2016, and specifically prohibits federal contractors from retaliating against employees and applicants who choose to talk about pay and pay-related information.

OFCCP’s pay transparency rule imposes requirements that managers and supervisors need to be aware of. As a caveat, please keep in mind that there are some questions about OFCCP’s pay transparency rule that we will not know the answers to until the rule goes into effect and OFCCP starts to enforce it.
