Interestingly, on a topic as basic as interviews made in conjunction with a selection decision, employers often ask for guidance on how to conduct interviews without creating unnecessary legal risks. Indeed, asking candidates about certain topics during interviews can create legal headaches by suggesting that hiring decisions are being made for unlawful reasons.

We are therefore pleased to present the following guide, which addresses potential interview pitfalls, and provides some practical tips on what should and should not be discussed with candidates.

Please note that this guide is designed to provide general guidance, and is not intended to provide legal advice. If a particular question or situation arises in the interview context, legal counsel should be consulted.
