The U.S. House of Representatives last week passed the $1 trillion bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R. 3684), one of President Biden’s two domestic priority bills, thus clearing it for the President’s signature. In the meantime, the ultimate fate of the other priority bill – the Build Back Better Act (H.R. 5376), or “reconciliation” bill – is still in flux. As we’ve reported previously, both of these bills include employment policy matters that could have a significant impact on workplace compliance.
