In the Trump Administration’s latest effort to crack down on illegal immigration and to support its “Buy American, Hire American” initiative, the Departments of Justice (DOJ) and Labor (DOL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing an information sharing and case referral mechanism for alleged immigration law violations.

The MOU also promotes efficiency by prioritizing the limited investigation assets of each Department to reduce duplication and achieve better enforcement results.
