Earlier this month, around 100 clients and non-clients gathered in Charlotte, NC for NT Lakis’s fifth annual Talent Acquisition Compliance Summit (TACS). The annual summit brings together human resources, compliance, legal, and recruiting professionals to discuss the current regulatory challenges and obligations facing the talent acquisition function, primarily in the context of their affirmative action obligations as federal contractors.
The May 9-10 summit featured NT Lakis lawyer experts who facilitated discussions and provided technically sound guidance designed to help attendees manage and mitigate workplace risks associated with talent acquisition. The TACS agenda included plenary sessions, applicant tracking systems roundtables, and two sets of “track” sessions, one on policy and practice, and the other a boot camp on talent acquisition (TA) compliance basics. We also offered attendees two in-depth preconference sessions, one designed as compliance “orientation” for new attendees (or those new to the compliance field), and the other focusing on more advanced talent acquisition topics, such as the compliance implications of diversity recruiting, same-day offers, and artificial intelligence.
