We are pleased to present the latest in our ongoing “OFCCP Compliance Primer” series of guides designed to help new compliance professionals understand the affirmative action program (AAP) requirements enforced by the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). In this guide, we discuss how to properly evaluate progress toward goals in an effort to show OFCCP that your outreach and recruitment efforts are meeting AAP requirements.
This guide looks at the way OFCCP evaluates the sufficiency of contractors’ outreach and recruiting efforts when a placement rate goal has been established, and provides guidance on ways to counter OFCCP’s often-made assumption that a contractor’s outreach and recruiting efforts must be insufficient if a placement rate goal has not been met.
