The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has sent an informal notice to agency stakeholders inviting them to request informal “opinion letters” permitting the agency to “provide fact-specific guidance about OFCCP’s jurisdictional coverage, regulations, and policies.”
The invitation, sent to covered federal contractors and other interested parties via email, follows the recent issuance of Directive 2019-03, “Opinion Letters and Help Desk,” through which OFCCP intends to begin issuing informal opinion letters in response to inquiries to the agency on specific situations.
