The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) earlier this month sent “advance notice” letters, formally known as Corporate Scheduling Announcement Letters (CSALs), notifying some 1,000 contractor establishments of an upcoming compliance audit during the current Fiscal Year 2018 (FY 2018), which began on October 1, 2017. CSALs are designed to precede (but do not replace) OFCCP’s compliance evaluation “scheduling letter” that gives contractors 30 days to submit their desk audit materials to OFCCP for review.
In the wake of the CSAL mailing, OFCCP has now updated the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on both its CSAL webpage and its Federal Contractor Selection System (FCSS) webpage to provide additional information on audit expectations as well as the establishments flagged for review. In addition, the agency has begun contacting CSAL recipients to confirm contact information and addresses for the actual compliance audit scheduling letters.
