In conjunction with the change in administration in 2017, the new leadership at the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) hosted a series of “Town Hall” meetings to obtain candid feedback from the federal contractor community on ways in which the agency could improve its compliance assistance and enforcement efforts.
OFCCP subsequently released an Action Plan consisting of 18 “deliverables” aimed at addressing feedback it had received during these meetings. Among other things, these deliverables included the creation of multiple new compliance assistance materials. This past April, OFCCP sent an email alert through its online email subscription service announcing it had completed seven new compliance assistance “deliverables” and that another seven would be “coming soon.” Nothing new was actually published at the time, however.
This past Friday, OFCCP finally released four of the promised compliance assistance deliverables, including:
- An “OFCCP At-A-Glance” Guide;
- A Postings and Notice Requirements Guide;
- Recordkeeping Infographics for Executive Order (E.O.) 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 503), and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA); and
- An Applicant Tracking Guide and Applicant Tracking FAQs.
Copies of the new resources can be found on OFCCP’s website.
