The Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has published a notice announcing that it intends to seek approval from the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to extend the various information collections associated with OFCCP’s Section 503 disability and Section 4212 veterans regulations.  The current OMB authorization is set to expire on January 31, 2017.  Although not specified by OFCCP, such renewal requests typically are for three years.

Periodic requests by federal agencies to extend information collection requirements are required under the federal Paperwork Reduction Act, and must be formally approved by OMB.  OFCCP indicates that it is not seeking any changes, but it is soliciting public comments on ways to improve the current 503/4212 information collections, including the prescribed disability self-identification form (Form CC-305).

Comments to OFCCP are due by October 25, 2016.
