Final enforcement numbers covering fiscal year (FY) 2021 (October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021) posted recently by the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) show a 6.3% decline in overall compliance evaluation audits completed by the agency as compared to the previous year. Numbers- wise, OFCCP closed 1,234 supply-and-service compliance evaluation audits in FY 2021, compared to the 1,318 audits completed in FY 2020, the last full fiscal year of the Trump Administration.

In addition, OFCCP secured nearly $26.5 million in financial relief for impacted class members during FY 2021, a little over $9 million less than the amount OFCCP collected in FY 2020 ($35.6 million). That said, we should point out that the FY 2021 financial remedy totals were the third-highest amount ever obtained by the agency, only trailing behind FY 2020 ($35.6 million) and FY 2019, when OFCCP collected $40.5 million.
