According to the Trump Administration’s most recent semi-annual regulatory agenda, the federal agencies that enforce employment-related requirements, including the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), plan to be busy over the next year on the regulatory front.
If agencies stick to their published timelines, the next year will bring a number of notable developments, including a new proposal from DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) on how federal contractors and subcontractors “may organize their affirmative action program
[s],” significant revisions to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations by DOL’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD), as well as several significant proposals from the EEOC.
