We continue to receive inquiries pertaining to particular state and local affirmative action program (AAP) certification requirements and related audit activity. In response, a couple of years ago we published digests of both state and local affirmative action requirements and feedback regarding these resources has been very positive.
We are now pleased to inform you that we have prepared and attached updated versions of these state and local digests in an effort to help contractors stay current with applicable state and local AAP requirements beyond the federal contractor requirements enforced by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
Experience shows that complying with state and local AAP mandates can be time-consuming, and we find that it is often a best practice to treat state and local contracting obligations separate and apart from those imposed by OFCCP.
