The Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has published its 2019 Corporate Scheduling Announcement List (CSAL), identifying 3,500 federal contractor establishments (or functions) for an upcoming compliance evaluation, including 500 establishments targeted for a so-called “Compliance Check.”
Although compliance checks have been an OFCCP investigative tool for many years, it’s been over a decade since they were last employed. Accordingly, looking back on how compliance checks were used in the past, we thought it might be helpful to prepare a guide explaining what a compliance check is, as well as provide some guidance on how to prepare and respond if your company is targeted for one.
Please note this guide is not intended to provide legal advice. Legal counsel should be consulted if any specific issues arise with respect to a compliance check.
