The Labor Department’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS) has opened the 2026 filing season for the annual VETS-4212 report. The cycle began August 1, and the submission deadline is September 30.
Any contractor or subcontractor that held a federal contract in 2025 valued at $200,000 or more must submit a VETS-4212 report.
Contractors completing the VETS-4212 report must provide a snapshot profile of their workforce by location, protected veteran status, and job category. Contractors also must report the number of protected veteran hires they made during the preceding 12-month period.
DOL-VETS encourages online filing, but it will post a new mailing address on its website for contractors that submit their report offline.
Information about the 2026 VETS-4212 filing requirements, as well as the VETS-4212 Form itself, is available on the VETS-4212 Federal Contractor Reporting webpage. If a contractor has technical questions, it should contact the VETS Service Desk via email at vets4212-customersupport@dolncc.dol.gov.
