We are pleased to present the first memo in a new OFCCP Compliance Primer series we are launching, written by NT Lakis attorneys and non-attorney professionals. The series is designed to help new compliance professionals understand regulatory requirements of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), focusing specifically on regulations relating to a company’s affirmative action programs (AAPs). Each memo in the series will address one or two discrete aspects of the AAP, from why and how we prepare them, to how each element should be constructed to ensure compliance.
This first memo in the series examines the “workforce analysis.” The “workforce analysis” is often the first report reviewed by OFCCP in a compliance review. It is a relatively simple and straightforward report that is meant to reflect the organizational structure of an AAP location by listing each department (or other organizational unit), the job titles in each department, and demographic information about the incumbent employees in each department.
