Pursuant to Obama-era Executive Order (E.O.) 13658, which requires certain federal contractors and subcontractors to pay a higher minimum wage to employees working on covered government contracts, the current minimum wage will increase from $10.20 an hour to $10.35 an hour, effective January 1, 2018.

In addition, for covered contractors with tipped employees, the minimum wage for these workers has been raised from $6.80 an hour to $7.25 an hour, also effective January 1, 2018.
