The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has announced its intent to implement a new compliance evaluation scheduling letter with accompanying itemized listing for federal construction contractors. If ultimately approved, the new letter will significantly change the process under which OFCCP currently evaluates construction contractors for compliance with the agency’s requirements, making it more in line with the process used for supply and service contractors.
As required under the federal Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), OFCCP has published the proposed letter for public comment. Once that public comment period ends, the agency will submit a final proposal to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval.
