The Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS) has officially opened the 2021 filing season for the annual VETS-4212 report. The VETS-4212 is a government form that covered federal contractors and subcontractors are required to file annually with DOL-VETS regarding the employment of protected veterans. Completed forms for this year’s cycle must be submitted to DOL-VETS by September 30, 2021. We have confirmed with DOL-VETS that there are no changes to the filing specifications and procedures from the 2020 filing season.
Detailed information about the 2021 VETS-4212 filing season is available on the VETS-4212 Federal Contractor Reporting webpage. For federal contractors that are not sure whether they need to file, DOL-VETS has added an Advisor link this year providing guidance.
As in past years, in order to ensure timely filing, DOL-VETS is encouraging filers to file their VETS-4212 reports electronically at https://vets4212.dol.gov, rather than submitting the reports by mail for processing.
