NT Lakis has filed written comments on behalf of the Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC) with the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in support of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) recent request to extend for three years the recordkeeping and reporting requirements associated with the traditional Employer Information (EEO-1) Report, now known as “Component 1.” Covered employers are required to file the EEO-1 annually to report the race, ethnicity, sex, and job category of their workforce by location. Our comments also support the EEOC’s expressed intent not to seek further collection of “Component 2” summary compensation and hours-worked data.
The comments largely mirror the comments we submitted to the EEOC last fall, and strongly support the EEOC’s decision to seek renewal of authority to require Component 1 reporting, and as importantly, the agency’s desire to not seek renewal for Component 2 at this time.
