NT Lakis, on behalf of the Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), has filed written comments with the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) in response to a request for stakeholder input on the agency’s proposed Scheduling Letter and Itemized Listing that OFCCP wants to use to initiate a compliance review of federal construction contractors.

As required by the federal Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), OFCCP must provide an opportunity for public comments on the proposed scheduling letter before submitting it to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval.

Before OFCCP submits its final proposal to OMB, our comments urge the agency to revise the letter to reduce the unnecessary burden that would be imposed on construction contractors as well as to better align the construction contractor letter with the scheduling letter OFCCP currently uses for audits of supply and service contractors.
