The Center for Workplace Compliance (CWC), our affiliated nonprofit membership association has filed comments with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) supporting the agency’s announced intent to seek approval from the White House Office of Management and Budget to use a slightly revised version of the EEO-1 Report for three reporting years beginning with 2024.
The EEO-1 is a mandatory annual federal report designed to provide a snapshot profile of a company’s workforce by race, ethnicity, sex, and job category.
CWC’s comments support the modest changes that the EEOC has proposed for the form, although CWC takes issue with the EEOC’s unrealistically low estimate of the time burden for employers.
