The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD), which enforces the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), has announced that it is extending its nationwide Payroll Audit Independent Determination (PAID) pilot program for another six months through April 2019.

WHD launched the PAID pilot program in April 2018 for a six-month period to encourage eligible employers to participate in supervised FLSA settlement agreements. The agency has now decided that it needs additional time to assess whether to fully implement the program nationwide, and thus the announcement of the six-month extension.

More information regarding the PAID pilot program is available on WHD’s website.
