The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently announced the recipients of its 2020 “HIRE Vets Medallion Award,” a voluntary program under which small, medium, and large employers can seek recognition for exemplary efforts in recruiting, employing, and retaining veterans. We are pleased to report that several CWC members are once again featured among the 2020 award recipients.
The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only one of its kind given out by the federal government. The voluntary program is open to all employers, and is administered by DOL’s Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS). The program was created by the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017, or “HIRE Vets Act.”
