The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Wage and Hour Division (WHD) recently released Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) enforcement statistics for fiscal year (FY) 2022. These latest data reveal that WHD closed only 780 complaints during the year—the lowest annual total since the FMLA’s enactment in 1993—representing a drop of almost 16% from the previous year.
