The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has updated its nearly 10-year-old guidance on hearing disabilities in the workplace to take into account recent technological advances as well as to emphasize an employer’s reasonable accommodation obligations with respect to hearing-impaired job applicants. EEOC’s revised guidance, Hearing Disabilities in the Workplace and the Americans with Disabilities Act, is attached.
