The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that covered employers that have not yet done so must file their 2019 and 2020 Employer Information (EEO-1) Reports no later than Monday, November 15, 2021. Although the formal filing deadline expired on October 25, 2021, the EEOC has kept the EEO-1 filing application open for late filers. The agency has now announced on its EEO-1 Survey website that “once the November 15, 2021, deadline passes, NO additional 2019 or 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 Reports will be accepted.”

In one limited exception to the November 15 cutoff date, however, employers with pending help desk tickets will still be able to file after that date if their requests have not been addressed. Again, EEOC asks that “filers only contact the EEO-1 Component 1 Help Desk once regarding the same issue.”

Because users may no longer be able to log in to the survey website after November 15, non-filers are strongly encouraged to download their 2019 and 2020 reports prior to that date if they have not yet done so.
