The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Wage and Hour Division has posted on its website a new set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and a Fact Sheet regarding mental illness as a serious health condition under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The guidance serves as a helpful reminder that the FMLA covers leave for serious physical and mental health conditions similarly.
