The Biden administration recently published its latest semi-annual regulatory agenda, a public document that lists the regulatory actions that federal agencies plan to take during the next 12 months, along with an estimated date for each action. The Fall 2022 regulatory agenda, which was not published until January 2023, contains a mix of initiatives designed to reverse Trump administration regulatory actions and others to implement new Biden administration regulatory priorities. The biggest change from the previous regulatory agenda in June 2022 is a delay in estimated completion dates for items previously listed.

This CWC memo updates selected regulatory agenda items that would impact workplace compliance, including items listed by the Department of Labor (DOL) and its sub-agencies such as the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and Wage and Hour Division (WHD); the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB); the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); the Federal Acquisition Regulatory (FAR) Council; the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); the Department of Agriculture (USDA); and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). For the fourth time in two years, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) did not list any initiatives.
