Consistent with its announced intent to do so, the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has now begun mailing compliance audit scheduling letters to those contractor establishments that recently received a corporate scheduling announcement letter (CSAL) informing them that they had been flagged by the agency for an upcoming compliance review.

OFCCP recently renewed its former practice of sending “advance notice” letters, formally known as CSALs, notifying some 800 contractor establishments of an upcoming audit.  CSALs are designed to precede (but do not replace) OFCCP’s compliance evaluation “scheduling letter” that gives contractors 30 days to submit their desk audit materials to OFCCP for review.
