The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has announced that the online “Contractor Portal” for the agency’s Affirmative Action Program Verification Interface (AAP-VI) initiative will be available for access by federal contractors beginning on February 1, 2022. Under the AAP-VI, covered contractors and subcontractors will be required to certify by June 30, 2022, that they have developed and maintained Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) in accordance with OFCCP’s regulations, and annually thereafter as long as they remain a contractor.
As part of the official AAP-VI roll out, OFCCP has also posted a new “landing page” on its website that contains compliance assistance resources and materials, a timeline with key dates as to when covered federal contractors and subcontractors will need to register to access the Portal and when they will need to complete the certification process, and a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) along with placeholders for additional resources.
