The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has published a supplement to its Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 Corporate Scheduling Announcement List (CSAL) identifying 500 federal contractor establishments that have been flagged for a so-called focused review of compliance with Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) requirements.

As was the case with the first wave of CSALs posted by OFCCP last March, the agency has posted the CSAL supplement online in lieu of mailing an advance notice letter to each flagged establishment. Thus, contractors will not be notified by U.S. mail.

To repeat, the 500 establishments listed have been flagged for a VEVRAA focused review only. In addition to posting the list, OFCCP has posted other documents providing additional detail, including its scheduling methodology, a set of VEVRAA focused review FAQs, and compliance assistance documents related to VEVRAA focused reviews.

Worth noting, OFCCP still has not received formal approval from the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to begin issuing VEVRAA focused review scheduling letters. Because OFCCP’s current policy is to give targeted establishments 45 days advance notice prior to sending a formal scheduling letter, however, the earliest that OFCCP would begin mailing scheduling letters to establishments on the CSAL supplement would be Monday, December 23, giving OMB plenty of time to approve the letter.
