The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved, for another three-year period and without change, the various information collection requirements imposed by the revised Section 503 disability and Section 4212 veteran regulations enforced by the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). These requirements include OFCCP’s prescriptive disability self-identification form, formally known as Form CC-305. Federal contractors subject to OFCCP’s Section 503 disability regulations are required to solicit disability status from applicants and employees using Form CC-305.
Consistent with the three-year extension, Form CC-305 now has a new expiration date of January 31, 2020. According to a widely distributed e-mail sent to stakeholders by OFCCP on January 31, 2017, “Federal contractors must begin using a form with the January 31, 2020, expiration date immediately.” To that end, OFCCP has updated the PDF and Microsoft Word versions of the form on the agency’s website.
In response to an inquiry made by NT Lakis to a high-ranking official at OFCCP, contractors will be given a grace period of 10 days, or until February 10, 2017, to begin using Form CC-305 with the new January 31, 2020, expiration date.
