U.S. Senate Confirms Nomination of Former Congressman Michael Michaud To Serve As the New Head of DOL-VETS

The United States Senate recently confirmed the appointment of former U.S. Representative Michael Michaud (D-ME) to serve as the new Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans’ Employment and Training.

Mr. Michaud takes the helm at the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS), which among other duties is responsible for collecting contractors’ annual VETS-4212 reports and enforcing the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
