President Biden has signed Executive Order (E.O.) 14091, which calls for an expansion of various federal government “equity initiatives” that have been implemented so far during his Administration. E.O. 14091 requires covered federal agencies to publish an Equity Action Plan each year and to report progress on issues highlighted in the prior year’s plan. It also calls for the establishment of agency “equity teams” and a White House Steering Committee on Equity.
